The Fauns - Doot Doot (cover)
Was in my local record shop this weekend, and they had a nice shoegazy-electro-dreampop album playing that I was quite enjoying while I browsed, and then I began to hear a familiar chord progression and melody.
I went to the counter to look at the album they were playing, The Fauns - How Lost, and sure enough, track5 is a cover of "Doot Doot." The album is right up my alley stylistically, so I would have grabbed it anyway, but this version of "Doot Doot" is so great that I would have bought it just for that. You can check it out here: https://thefauns.bandcamp.com/album/how-lost https://open.spotify.com/track/6piAE7wc9wpeiWIcEMkWxI I think you can still find copies of the limited vinyl (on translucent red wax!) on Amazon in the US, btw. |

Thanks for this great find, appreciated! Loving Doot Doot and even more so the rest of the album. Something to enjoy while waiting for SH release.

What aphasein says: great find! Didn't know them and I've been really enjoying this album in the last couple of days. Clear, the track that follows Doot Doot, has certain Underworld-vibes as well. Reminds me of To Heal I guess.
