Re: UW @ Electric Picnic
Awesome gig from the guys as usual.
Unfortunately you'll have to rely on someone else for the setlist as I had a looooonngg couple of days at the festival and the memory is, shall we say selective, in spots. Started with Spoonman then hit KoS, BBurnout, 2 months off, Rez/Cowgirl and due to an overrun finished with BS.Nuxx and no encore. Much the same as other festival shows. Got a couple of short vids on my phone so the quality is not worth posting but seemed to be quite a few near me at the front who might have something worth uploading. Great atmosphere - but it always feels that way in a tent. Thanks guys |

But... that's just 24 minutes of Tindersticks, not underworld I hope that they will replace the file. http://www.rte.ie/2fm/festivals2008/...nderworld.html

Re: UW @ Electric Picnic
As essbee said it was a great gig - similar to the Hyde Park show, although not quite as uptempo all the way through. Crowd was similar also, so it was a great atmosphere although a bit of a bear-pit down at the front! Set list was:
Spoonman Glam Bucket (great version with lots of guitar!) Rez Beautiful Burnout King Of Snake Two Months Off You Do Scribble (pleeeease can we have the studio version on physical release!!!??) Nuxx No poem, but I did here the lyrics of Dirty Epic somewhere in there...they came back out at the end to apologize for not being able to play on and Rick came out with a video recorder to get some shots of the crowd. Oh the guy with the horse head was down at the front going crazy for KoS - I've read about him before on here, but cant remember what that's all about? Grace Jones was great also before Underworld - very diva like! I have to say the festival itself was truly excellent - so much to see and do. Its expensive, but by keeping away a the 'massive' headlining acts, and only having 30,000 people, its all very civilized...but crazy and exciting too. If that makes sense...You could party hard all night long to one extreme or chill out drinking herbal teas all night listening to weird and wonderful music in and around 'Body and Soul' or catch some great music in one of the many tents or see some Cabaret or circus or dance or sculpture or....you get the idea! |

Re: UW @ Electric Picnic
Fantastic gig, one of the best I've seen them do and one of the highlights on the weekend. I heard loads of people raving about it.
Setlist, I wrote them down on the phone as they were coming up: Spoonman, Glam Bucket, Rez/Cowgirl, Beautiful Burnout, Two Months Off, You Do Scribble, King of Snake, Born Slippy.Nuxx. Pretty sure that's accurate. I've drifted away from listening to UW recently and this has pulled me right back. It was like being at the first gig back in '00 when I fell in love with them, so intense. Thank you Karl, Rick, Darren. Cracking show. Not been on here in a long time, hello dirty, you're looking well and happy.
