Underworld on "Songs for Tibet"
Courtesy lloyd's blog:

Releasing Aug. 5 on iTunes, and Aug. 12 physical CD. No tracklist yet.

http://www.amazon.com/Songs-Matthews.../dp/B001C32XQI

"The Art of Peace Foundation announced today that more than a dozen of the world's top contemporary musical artists, including Sting, Dave Matthews, Alanis Morissette, John Mayer, Suzanne Vega, Rush, Imogen Heap, Garbage, Damien Rice, Moby, Underworld, Duncan Sheik and many more have been brought together to create an album of 20 songs entitled, 'Songs for Tibet - The Art of Peace'. The project is the artists' expression of peace and support for Tibet and the Dalai Lama, and will be launched before the Olympics opens in Beijing."

"As a show of support for Tibet and the Dalai Lama, some of the world's most creative artists have recorded and donated a song for the Art of Peace Foundation. These acoustic songs - some original for the project and some acoustic recordings of previously released songs - express our common vulnerabilities and experiences in pursing happiness, peace and freedom. This historic and monumental project is a proactive celebration of our shared humanity and common search for happiness."

Acoustic Born Slippy, anyone?

I wonder what song will go on? If its a fresh slab of UW meat, then it'll boost sales from this fanbase end.

LOL

this project is clearly outside of the musicians obligations as performers and songwriters and their participation in this project is irresponsible and detrimental to the interests of china. it is unfortunate that they choose to voice propoganda concerning that which is none of their business and are ignorant of. china is merely trying to protect what's theirs.

.....

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Re: Underworld on "Songs for Tibet"
I was mentally musing through the UW canon, and realized that Phonestrap 1 would probably fit the bill.

Or, maybe Chant, from the 2005/2006 webcasts, would be more appropriate?
