FAO: Darren, Rick and Karl: Can You Feel This Bass?
Hello Boys,
as you can see, we're still disecting your Cocoon gig. can you please elaborate on the 2nd track, with the "Can You Feel This Bass" vocal. one of your liason's stated that the song was written by Mr. Price for use by Underworld. Is this true? Is it an Underworld song? Have you sorted a title? What state is the track in? Finished, almost finished? Details please. Thank you! |

Re: FAO: Darren, Rick and Karl: Can You Feel This Bass?
I think it is simply an Underworld "live show", between-song interlude like they've written/performed live so many times in the past (i.e. morrocan meatballs, aquafunk, small conker and a twix, etc...), but it could possibly have been written by Price for them as well!

I really hope some of that stuff finds it's way to the new album (or maybe another riverrun release?). The more banging techno sound is a nice addition to the more subdued sounds of the recent new Underworld stuff.

Re: FAO: Darren, Rick and Karl: Can You Feel This Bass?
Thing is almost every other track was a record by another artist, NOT an Underworld tune. So you probably won't hear a lot of it on the new album.
If you look at the Cocoon setlist you'll see this, UW seem to be going back to something a bit like their Underworld Sound System they were doing at Glastonbury back in 1992. |

Re: FAO: Darren, Rick and Karl: Can You Feel This Bass?
So, is the song name "Cool Breeze SoundSystem"? Or is that maybe some unreleased Darren Price album? The file itself has no tags besides the filename "CanufeelD1". I'm leaning towards "Cool Breeze SoundSystem" being the track name, as it's more creative and sounds pretty cool.
BTW, if you rename the file with a .m4a file extension (instead of mp4), it should be recognized as pretty much just an AAC file by your favorite music player. Edit: If you don't know what I'm talking about: http://www.underworldlive.com/home/m...lthisbass.html |

Re: FAO: Darren, Rick and Karl: Can You Feel This Bass?
yes, true. however, it's been attributed to Darren Price, yet distributed through Underworld Live. I've tagged it as being by Underworld. it sounds much better than any single song Price has done on his own (to me at least) so i'm crediting UW with the track.

Re: FAO: Darren, Rick and Karl: Can You Feel This Bass?
Well, the composition is by Darren Price. That much is clear. However, it's become quite the live staple, much like Shake That Higher (another Price composition). I just tag it as Underworld.
But my question really is, what is the name of the song? The caption on underworldlive.com reads "Darren Price, Cool Breeze SoundSystem (Can u Feel This Bass?)" |
