Re: Saturday Night Live
i havent watched SNL this year all that much, but after seeing the Justin Timberlake "Dick in a Box" skit/video floating all over the net (and also seeing some of the other newer skits on nbc.com) it's probably worth watching again.

Re: Saturday Night Live
i started watching SNL in 1998. I believe that until Will Ferrell left, you could always count on a few hilarous skits to buoy up a show. Since Ferrell departed, it was downhill IMHO, especially last season.
But this year, they dropped to a much smaller cast, Seth Meyers took over the head writing and Weekend Update seats since Tina Fey left for 30 Rock, and the show has made an effort to shorten skits or do more digital shorts. It's taking steps in a funnier direction! p.s. this just occurs to me...since the E! Channel shows a lot of SNL reruns, i got to see many of the early episodes. Thing is, there are plenty of misses from the Akroyd/Belushi/Chase/Curtin/Morris/Newman cast, too. So, when people (myself included!) say "oh, the show used to be good", they're probably remembering their favorite funny skits, not the shlock that went along with it!

Re: Saturday Night Live
"Dick in a Box" is a classic like the "Lazy Sunday" was. Love most of the animated TV Funhouse stuff too. My favorite thing about SNL is the fake commercials though....
