Underworld, the veteran electronic music duo who soundtracked Danny Boyle’s ‘Isle of Wonder’ spectacular, took an award for ‘Innovation in Sound’.

Boyle, who picked them personally for the opening-ceremony job, introduced them on stage, saying: “The guiding principle behind the opening ceremony wasn’t philosophical or political... it was if we get enough people involved, it won’t be shite. And top of the list of people I wanted involved were these guys.”

one thing does bemuse me to use an (un)intended pun is Muse's continued acclaim... it must be me,but what do they do to deserve such acclaim???

The biggest cheer of the day went to Danny Boyle who was there to present the 'Q Innovation In Sound' award which went to fellow Olympic co-conspirators, Underworld.

"The idea of the opening ceremony wasn't to be political or anything, I just thought if we got enough people together it might not be shite," they said.

As for muse? They're making dubstep rock! It's good and not pop trend pandering we promise! Black holes and revelations was good, but they never really progressed from there, I feel.

Congrats to Underworld (inc Price!). After reading yesterdays blog, I did wonder if we would here something today about an award. Its great they are getting recognition for the work they did on the Olympics and fitting that Danny Boyle gave the award. I'm still enjoying Isle's Of Wonder!

Right....now back to the day job please.....when's the next UK gig...when's the next radio broadcast....when's the next batch of new stuff.....when can I get full length Pricey tunes....when.....
