so I was listening to "Mofo" the other day
...and it made me think about the unreleased collaboration between U2 and UW
If memory serves me - the last time this came up, it came out that the track (which never was finished) eventually became U2's "Mofo". Like they (U2) basically removed UW's input and released just their version So anyways ... I was listening to Mofo in my car, then something seemed very familiar to me, but I couldn't really put my finger on it. which got me thinking about the unreleased collaboration, and I started to wonder... It just doesn't sit right with me - that U2 removed *ALL* of UW's input then I went onto the next cd in my car changer - the Pearls Girl EP, flicked to the last track ("Deep Arch") ...now is it just me - or is that 'bass' loop that's pretty prominent on the studio version of "Deep Arch" the same as on U2's "Mofo"? I think the similarity might even be more prevalent on live versions of Deep Arch, but I haven't had the chance to compare |

Re: so I was listening to "Mofo" the other day
I don't think we'll ever know unless UW play it on a Lemonworld broadcast. Though saying that, I'd assume for copyright and various other tedious reasons, we might not ever hear it. As they said, it sounded like a remix and not a collaboration between the two. I wonder if the Moaner collaboration with Michael Stipe ever got recorded?
Only UW + U2 output is on Boy Boy Boy.
