"Believe in Billy Records was founded in 2008 as a netlabel to freely share eclectic, experimental electronic music via Creative Commons Licences.
Founded and curated by Brian Ruskin (USA), the label roster includes artists such as Advances in Obsolete Technology (Avid), the Abscraps, Down Team Up, ESCALE, Gears in the Rain, Mental Health Consumer, and Skinny Knockdown, as well as archival compilations from members of born dirty.org, the Underworld fan forum.
Genres span ambient through techno, soundscapes to lo-fi rock, with the shared theme of showcasing awe in the commonplace, and sensitivity for the little moments of life.

And who is Billy? A legend, a ghost, an alter-ego? Maybe.

Well, as the curator and provider of much of the content on Believe in Billy Records netlabel, i approve this 1MC episode!
Seriously, so nice to hear a selection of tracks from my humble netlabel, in a new mix and context. And also, several producers from the born dirty forums feature here with fantastic pieces from the annual compilations we used to have around here. So it's a nostalgic listen for me, perhaps for some of the other contributors that may still lurk on the boards. A big thanks to 1MC pappie for creating and sharing this mix!
