Yup, 20+ years later, and sounds like Fluke haven't missed a step.

Re: Fluke are back!
New track, "Real Magnificent" just dropped. The "All Buttons In" mix is superb!

Edit: Also, this release is weird..Fluke's Instagram has been hyping a 8/30 release date for awhile. But on 8/29 the tagline changed to "out soon". So I was surprised the track and remix appeared on Spotify today (9/3) with an 8/30 release date noted. Still nothing official on any of Fluke's sites. Seems like some balls have been dropped on the rollout. But it's still.a great track in a different style.

Edit 2: Annnnd....it's been taken down from Spotify and other online sites. Whoops, someone saw 8/30 release and pushed it before the official roll-out. Something else to look forward to, i suppose!

Re: Fluke are back!
So a fun thing here... I have worked with Jon and I even did some drums for Jon and Mike T for the new Fluke material. Jon guests for vox on my song, "In Case of Revolution", and I can confirm that he's one of the nicest people in the world. I still don't truly understand how I one day awoke to a dropbox from him filled with vocal cuts for a song that I threw out a request on Twitter for people to sing along with me on, but, it happened, and I count myself very, very lucky for that.

Fluke's work is beyond important for me. I cannot even explain how much I love love LOVE Risotto. To this day it is by far one of the most virtuoso electronic music recordings of all time.

Anyway, this isn't just to hype myself, it's to say that I am just so insanely happy that they are releasing music again. Jon hit me up before the release of all of this material and was kind enough to let me know it was happening and I very literally cried.

I'm glad there's others here who consider their work so important.

Re: Fluke are back!
Love all of this, and it's cool that several folks have interacted with Jon and the band, confirming that they're not only amazing musicians but also high caliber people.

"Risotto" was one of the first "electronic" albums I bought, way back in 1998 (after the likes of "Dig your own hole", "the fat of the land" and "moby" debut. Underworld and many others would come later).Hearing "Atom Bomb" via MTVs Amp compilation was my gateway into the band, and i went in deep. "Puppy" and "Risotto" still get the most play, but their whole catalog is so varied yet unmistakable. The new tunes this year were something I'd never considered a possibility, since their lil reunion gig was in 2009 and syntax and 2 Bit Pie sort of fizzled out. So glad they're adding to their sonic story!

Next new track, "Real Magnificent" is out now, officially this time. Track, video and remixes are superb in my opinion. Best thing: Fluke super fan Justin Credible, who has made tons of fan remixes and shared tons of band rarities over the years has an official remix of this track! So cool.

Justin and I are friends. His remix came out awesome. He also did a remix for the Music For The Jilted Generation remix compilation I organized for the album's 30th anniversary.

Loving the new Fluke track, especially the All Buttons In version of Real Magnificent. Got them Risotto vibes.

Re: Fluke are back!
Justin did a remix of one of my tracks a long time ago and it was released this year: https://archive.org/details/ThisIsNotThatUniverse
So I guess that makes me Fluke -adjacent too!

Seriously, really digging the new directions they're exploring. The SLEdger remix is pretty wild. You're right that "All Buttons In" mixes are like Fluke set to 10/10. Hopefully more "Firebird" project tracks coming soon?
