I'm not asking you to prove a negative. I'm asking you to find the band who is responsible for Good Day Today. Their song just got 2 plays on KCRW's biggest show, that's a big deal. Surely they would have a myspace page, a twitter account, facebook page, something mentioning their album/tracklist/song title. Find the playlist where Good Day Today was played and google every track on there and tell me how many you don't find mentions of online.

Your logic is sound, BLD, but other facts remain: Good Day Today doesn't sound anything like Underworld, or at least so much unlike Underworld that many people are suspicious; the band has not commented on this via Twitter or Facebook or anything; Yannick says it's not Underworld.
Further, this sort of stuff still happens all the time. The internet is filthy with all kinds of phony "new DAFT PUNK" tracks. It's a phenomenon left over from the Napster days where every electronic song was credited to Moby or The Prodigy just because people were ignorant or malicious. My suspicion is that someone emailed this song to Jason Bentley and said it was Underworld and he played it. I used to work in the music industry, it is woefully disorganized and I have no trouble believing a scenario that simple. Why they did it is another question. Maybe just for laughs, or maybe someone passed it to them and they passed it along in good faith.
