seefeel - quique (reissue)

so yea, this album was a little known gem from around the same time as slowdive and mbv, it's kinda a cross between souvlaki and selected ambient works....basically they're famous-ish now for being remixed by autechre and aphex, and this lp has just been reissued....i picked up a copy and it's amazing, it sounds so fresh and the bonus disc is pretty interesting stuff too....anyway, track listings:
  1. "Climactic Phase 3" (8:24)
  2. "Polyfusion" (6:23)
  3. "Industrious" (6:40)
  4. "Imperial" (6:39)
  5. "Plainsong" (7:44)
  6. "Charlotte's Mouth" (7:27)
  7. "Through You" (5:48)
  8. "Filter Dub" (8:46)
  9. "Signals" (5:46)
  1. "Clique" (5:28)
  2. "Is it Now?" (4:23)
  3. "Filter Dub (Low Pass Remix)" (9:40)
  4. "Come Alive (Climactic Phase #1)" (5:41)
  5. "Time To Find Me (Alternate Desk Mix)" (5:20)
  6. "Charlotte's Mouth (Avant Garde Mix)" (7:27)
  7. "My Super 20" (6:21)

I used to listen to this a lot back in the day though haven't had a copy of it in years. Loved it then. Recommend trying to get hold of Free-D album by Ecstacy of St Theresa for a somewhat similar vein.

SWEET -- thanks for the heads-up! This album is easily top 5 of all time for me.

Just watching this cliup onm nyOutube of Seefeel live. Ever seen someone so lost in the music as the bassist? I think he puts Karl Hyde to shame!

Didn't think they could be so good at getting the sound live, though I read an interview yday where the main guy said getting that sound right for each gig was so stressful that it kind of led to the collapse of the band. The album Succour an almost exact opposite in terms of mood; from the ecstatic of Quique to the pretty dark and paranoid.
