the Presets
 

ok - I'm actually really surprised that no one's ever mentioned this band, or someone did - but it would've been several months/year ago

I got their album "Beams" back in January, and it still hasn't gotten old

but anyways -

they're touring the US... and I'm at least going to see their show in Chicago. They are playing at the Metro on the 24th

if you have no idea who I'm talking about - the Presets are... I guess you could say a disco/punk band ... in sort of the same vein as like MSTRKRFT...

i don't think i'll be able to make it to the chicago show, but i saw them open up for ladytron last year and chicago gave them a warm welcome :) from what they said, they had very luke warm reactions to their stuff the previous few nights and that it was cool the chicago crowd was digging what they heard.

and yes, there is some ace stuff on 'beams'!

The Presets are fantastic, highly recommended.
Their live show is something special.

And they are fellow Aussies! Two thumbs up!

Agreed. I've seen the Presets twice, and they always put on a fucking top show.
