What albums do you think should have been in the dirty 2005 poll?

Instead of bitching about how your favorite album didn't make the top 50 but Coldplay did, how about you tell us about it? This is the music forum, so let's discuss music.

I'll go first.

My Morning Jacket - 'Z'
This album was my number 1. It's been discussed on the forums before, so I won't repeat it all. http://www.dirty.org/forums/showthread.php?t=375 I really liked this album and listened to it a lot this year. I thought it had a very fresh sound, and I like how the band is branching out from their usual territory.

I have more, but it's your turn.

All my most favoured albums were pretty popular; Sufjan, clap your hands, bss, lemon jelly and sigur ros, except...

The Books – Lost and Safe

These guys are consistent, this is the third out of 3 great albums. Read about it here

Also I was happy to stumble across Erin McKeown – We Will Become Like Birds and Martha Wainwright - Martha Wainwright

Low – The Great Destroyer has some good moments too, but I'm not surprised it didn't make the 50.

I'll check some of these out. I've heard The Books and Low albums briefly.

Who else has recommendations?

i didn't vote becuase i was rushing all the time but i think the list is completely "x".. i wish this would make it to the list: Broadcast-"tender buttons", Dj Koze "Kozi comes around" and Jackson and his computer band "Smash"...

Seems like most dirty vetrans didn't vote like myself, sad as I as well found this to be a most disapointing list. Pitchforks was right on this year except for the glaring exception there and here of Hood's Outside Closer. Really am sad this album is being overlooked as I have been listening to it for 8 months and it still is growing to the point of being an all time favorite.
