Re: Message to Rafa

another message to Rafa

key point from the article:

'Like Chelsea, Liverpool have dropped 14 points from the past 30 available. Manchester United, on the other hand, have taken 26 points from their past ten league matches.'

i know its not over yet, but if you had £10k who wold you bet it on to win the league???

srsly?

I would bet Manchester United's player budget, and we all know that's one hell of a large number.

isn't That a dodgy Nissan???

any way, unless they are competing weekly with us in the BEST 'English Premier League', move the lesser football chat to the lesser league posts ;) or the NFL section, its the same in my book... :p

jole 02-06-2009 06:02 AM

Re: Message to Rafa

I thought this is lesser league chat cause last time i checked Primera had the best Uefa country coefficients therefore it is best league at the moment.

i'll point you to the section here for reference:

see the heading : Current ranking (2009-10 UEFA competitions)

Spain -1
England +1

hmmm and just looking back at last years champions league in which 3 out of the 4 semi finalists were from the English Premier league... maybe it'll change this year ;)

still no bother, you enjoy your 'Nissan' Primera League... we'll enjoy the excitement of the Premier league

jole 02-07-2009 04:31 AM

Re: Message to Rafa

Yeah your stats r a bit old they go to season 2007/ 08, when England was 1st.
As far as i know 2008/09 is still going on and Spain has the strongest league.
http://kassiesa.net/uefabackup/data/...ccoef2009.html

So yes i will keep watching Primera liga

Re: Message to Rafa

Liverpool seem to be making a habbit of this late goal win thing. Still, its interesting to see Aston Vanilla step up to the plate and possible push Arsenal in to UEFA cup place next year.

chuck 02-07-2009 06:22 PM

Re: Message to Rafa

It will be tough for Arsenal to make the final 4 - and most likely they'll miss out on the CL for the first time in 10 years.

Arshavin will be interesting - historically Arsenal's signings take a while to make an impact, but that's what's needed.

Same old story really - major injuries, decent players who know the system leave, and the ones who need to step up are too young.

Fabregas, Eduardo, Walcott, Rosicky all to return - but will it be too late?

Fair play to Aston Villa though - they've played solid football and totally deserve to be in the position they are.

Re: Message to Rafa

here

ffs Rafa - shut up - you needed to buy more than one player and not sell your other striker - CRY MOAR you fucking twat... Rafa is so getting on my tits now... you threw away a perfectly good lead in the premiership and now you are basically 10 points behind and its still only February... its a team game - get a decent team together and you might win something you moaning twat - i actually feel sorry for Liverpool fans... :(

*end rant*

Rog 03-03-2009 04:46 AM

Re: Message to Rafa

i'll join you there Matt! i think he has cost us the best chance we have had for years of pushing utd close by selling and buying the wrong players and picking the wrong team for the wrong game. I hope he fucks off with Parry..............:o

I wonder how much Ferguson was moaning when Wenger reeled in that 13 point lead back in 1998 :)

well i'm not sure... its shit losing a lead (ask Keegan :D ), but what happened since 1998 is that we've moved onwards and upwards... Rafa's moaning about one player... which he could have covered if he'd bought and sold wisely - he hasn't... and to be honest he needs to look at Gerrard too, who has been poor since his scuffle in the pub

Rafa is technically and tactically naive, he's done well to win the European Cup (in the past), but this year, the league was the priority and he's let a hell of a lot of fans down - moaning about it makes it worse... even Wenger is philosophical about this season, although if they don't get in the top 4 we may see him moan a bit...

yeah i'm laughing, considering how far behind United were... but Ferguson got on with it, wound up Rafa and now we'll win the league... and it'll be 18 each... no one has a right to win the league, but you have to give yourself the chance - Rafa, imo, failed to do that with the team he has cobbled together... Liverpool will not win any trophies this year.
