King of Snake: Winjer (promo mix)
 

a friend gave me a cassette copy of Beaucoup Fish back in 1997
and i've always preferred the KOS/Winjer on that because they flowed intoeachother as the same track
i've been scouring the net for weeks and can't find a recording of it
... but i found this

anyone here have an MP3 or FLAC of it to share?

So, you're saying on this cassette of BF, KoS and Winjer were mixed together? Was this a promo cassette? Is it the 3rd one listed on this page (the one with "No Current Picture"):

I assume that's the one with it blended in - I never had this cassette - hence - no picture...

but its written on King of Snake: Winjer on the cassette - indicating a blend mix

be interesting to find this mix - someone must have this cassette

I have the cassette - will make a copy of it (just give me a few days).
But basically, it's just 15 seconds or so of overlap - not that interesting, really :)

Yeah, it was a smooth transition, but nothing very extreme.

Yeah, you are a reknowned "Kittens" fan!
Maybe off-topic, but the first time i heard "Kittens", and not being acquainted with the sometimes-obscure or unrelated titles of songs, i tried to imagine real kittens frolicking about. Such a storming track isn't really soft and fluffy, but watchiung my cat prowl and attack, i could definitely see it!
Same with Dinosaur Adventure 3D - i imagined a CG dino on a grid, maurauding about in video game world.

Yeah, it's not that different of a mix, i just grew accustomed to hearing it like that
and the album version has always sounded clumbsy to me... i assume they separated the songs for DJ mixing... but that seems a waste of a good album mix when they released it as a single anyway.
PLUS, the recording of the Cassette i had (i dubbed it onto a minidisc) recorded slow somehow... you know, old shitty tape decks... so the few months i listened to it before i got the album i got really used to a much more down-tempo version of all the songs... having no idea i was hearing them at the incorrect speed (oh, remember the days before digital everything?)
i found the yahoo groups and i'm awaiting approval so i can download them mp3 from there... but Mark, if you could upload a high-quality mp3 or flac of the whole mix, i would greatly appreciate it. thank you

Reminds me a little bit of the -1 stiti mix.... i still listen to that instead of the album, any chance of a new one for BF raj? ;)
