Boston Date Added

Looked around but haven't seen anything listed yet for this but its on tickmaster with the presale tomorrow 7/24 Bank of America Pavilion Boston, MA. for a sept. 15th show. The info isn't on the live website or the myspace page. Just praying that they add a chicago show now.

Oh cool, now I don't have to drive down to NYC and take a day of work!

Haha, well, I already bought tickets for the New York show... I guess I'm going to both!

Boston dirts let me know if you want to meet up and grab a beer before the show.

Anyone have the presale information/code?

Edit: OK, looks like you have to sign up here for the 7/24 (tomorrow!) presale (starts at 10 AM EST). It's free to sign up, and they give you the presale info via e-mail or text message (or on their website maybe):

http://www.ticketrush.com/concerts

Looks like there may be another pre-sale on 7/27 here:

http://www.livenation.com/event/getE...ventId/293120/

General on-sale is 7/28. According to the livenation site, it looks like this show will be reserved seating only :( Covered reserved seats (i.e. closer) $40, uncovered reserved seats $30.

Ten Dollar Tickets available! (from 10AM today until 10PM tonight)

I don't know why it says Digweed at LiveNation, but Oakenfold on this page.

TheBang 07-24-2007 06:27 AM

Re: Boston Date Added

"Sorry, but this event no longer exists in our database."

Oh well. The ten dollar tickets were nothing to get excited about anyway. Based on the other artists, the $10 tickets were all in the concourse areas, tables outside the main venue with obstructed views.

Edit: The 7/24 $10 ticket information's been removed from the link you posted, mkb. Now it just says tickets will be on-sale 7/27. Live Nation still says there'll be a pre-sale on 7/26 though.

Yeah, too bad :(

Re: Boston Date Added

livenation.com and ticketrush.com are now both indicating that the pre-sale will happen on 7/26 from 10 AM - 5 PM.

Yeah, I got that too. Does each of your tickets cost $40 or $54.45?

yay! can't wait to meetcha :)

fwiw, i think john digweed is a perfect opener for underworld. his sound and style should work beautifully in that slot - he's a master at building a slowly evolving groove.

As long as he (and Sasha) aren't on for 4 hours "opening", yeah he's great :p

Sucks getting old doesn't it BB?

The day after Skinny Puppy, I kid you not, I felt like I had been skiing the day before. Maybe I should have done some stretching routine before hand!! :D

Just got my tickets! Looks like I got the last ones in Section 3... I wish this venue didn't have assigned seats :P

But, on the uwlive site, why is the venue listed as "Bank of Scotland" ... ?

TheBang 07-27-2007 02:40 PM

Re: Boston Date Added

Well, there is a GA pit section. Tickets were on Ticketmaster this morning. I got some of the last ones for the pit.

http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/01...&minorcatid=60

It looks like Ticketmaster was selling blocks of tickets in the pit, and the front half of Sections 1 and 3, and all of section 2. All of section 2 was sold out by about 11:30 AM. The pit sold out by about 12:00 PM. Currently there are still seats in Sections 1 and 3, but it looks like Ticketmaster has sold about 3/4 of their allocation of those sections.

Live Nation appears to have had ticket allocations for the back half of Sections 1 and 3, and this is what they sold during the presale and today. And they appear to have sold out their allocation now.

Sorry guys. I didn't know Live Nation would have such crap allocations. :( I didn't even know this was how all this ticketing stuff worked until I pieced together all the information above through about 4 hours yesterday and today of refreshing ticket websites and watching what seats were available and watching them sell out on both vendor's sites, and through several phone conversations with both vendors (and also unsuccessful attempts to call the venue).

I've learned a lot about the ticketing process over the past couple days. Makes me a little upset, but a little better prepared for another time. But especially upset at the charges. $20 of "service", venue, and "convenience" charges on a $40 (or $30) ticket?!! Outrageous! Makes me wish Pearl Jam had been successful against Ticketmaster in the 90's.

King of Snake 07-28-2007 12:48 AM

Re: Boston Date Added

still think it's highly strange that there would be assigned seats for an uw concert. Does each "section" have it's own seperate entrance? If not then surely you're free to go where you please once you're inside?

TheBang 07-28-2007 02:31 AM

Re: Boston Date Added

As I've seen in other amphitheater venues, they'll probably physically barricade off the pit area in front with only a couple manned entrances.

Re: Boston Date Added

Yeah, that setup looks like a drag....
I've been to Red Rocks, the rows are like 3 feet deep. No rigid seats to get in your way! But still, looks like the open floors at SF & NY are gonna be tops! :D

Thanks for the heads up TheBang. I returned my LiveNation tickets and got some better ones through Ticketmaster. Now i'm in section 3 row N... 19 rows closer. :) Can't wait to see you all there!

How did you manage to return your LiveNation tickets?

geoff 07-31-2007 07:42 AM

Re: Boston Date Added

I just called them up with some half-arsed excuse, like I had somebody else order the tickets for me and they ordered the wrong show... ;) The receptionist was quite nice about it. I have yet to see the money credited to my account, but I got the confirmation email for the refund, so i'm not too worried about it.

I called the Bank of America Pavillion and they gave me the number for LiveNation. Looking at my past dialed phone numbers, LiveNation should be 1-800-431-3462. Make sure you come up with a good story.. :)

Talked to the venue, and the first DJ is scheduled to go on at 6:45 PM. Underworld is scheduled for 9:00 PM, and curfew is 11:00 PM.

Cool, so glad you can make it! As long as I'm allowed to wander over there, i'll stop by and say hello. (I second the "WTF seats?")

Would love to meet up with -1 and any other RTSR people as well. Meet me at Section 3, Row N, Seat 14/15. I will probably be there around 730 or 8.
