Beaucoup Fish complete version?
 

i tried to stick all the longest versions of all the songs on 'beaucoup fish' together in iTunes and it came out 80:33. that's only like 35 seconds too long to put on a CD. damn! and i wanted high quality, too, so an mp3 cd won't work.
plus i don't have a lossless version of the long 'jumbo'. arg. how far can you overburn a CD, and will it damage your disc drive?

For overburning, I haven't done it myself, but this thread seems to indicate that you can't damage your burner by attempting it. Also, overburning by 33 seconds should be possible, if your drive supports it.

I'm interested in the timings you have for each track.

While I hate to steer a barely Underworld topic further off course but I've been dying to find out from someone:
Is there a burning utility software for OSX that supports overburning? I've never noticed that Toast does, or is it because my drive isn't capable?

Hey!!

You can use a 90 min cd !

I used one to get all the tracks in the 3 promo cds of the riverrun mixes only on one cd. Speaking of it, i will try and sell those 3 original cd's at ebay very shortly.

i dunno if my drive supports it. also 90 minute CDs are out of spec, so it might not work on all my cd players, but i can try it.

Toast doesn't support overburning. Your choices are:

Firestarter FX
shadowBurn
Dragon Burn

If you don't mind using the command-line, there are a few more options.

The full length Push Upstairs is readily available on 1992-2002, and the full length Moaner is on 1992-2002, the single, and the Batman & Robin soundtrack.

But that full length Jumbo...

well you could just buy the Argentinian CD from me for £20 which is the current price i'm selling it for.... first come first served.

also the long version of the Jumbo Futureshock Remix - i have on mp3, and its not a rip from the vinyl - so it must have come from a CD somewhere... will check

well the first bidder got the cd -thanks for the interst

if you are intersted and i reckon the only place you will be able to get this version is on the Argentinian (latin american) Sum Records label - which has the 9:12 version on it

... i've tried briefly looking for a website but to no avail...

the 9:12 version of jumbo appears on this commercial released cd, the japanese promo only cd and also the very rare german promo...

the Sum Records cd is your best bet, then the japanese cd, then the german one...


eil have the japanese promo which does have the 9:12 version on it for sale - its £35 - but if you want this longer version its the price you'll have to pay

Thanks for the info, Matt. Do the Japan promo and German promo also contain the 11:37 Dirty?

Are there 2 versions of the Beaucoup Fish 2xCD? The discogs.com entry and this site seem to indicate that it has the 8:12 Futureshock remix. But these (1 2 3) all seem to indicate the 6:33 version.

No!

The problem is that the track time printed on the cover of the 2Xcd Beaucoup fish album is not correct. Actual time of track is 6.33.

well i dont think so because i definitley have a clean non vinyl version on mp3, so i just need to find out what disc its off...

but yeah, the jbo 1011822 2 x CD set is mislabelled

Not that it matters but I just checked my copy of it and can confirm that "Jumbo (Futureshock Worlds Apart Mix) (8:12)" is indeed 6:33 long.

yea - I remembered you posted an mp3 of that aaaaaaaaages ago on this MB.

If memory serves me correctly, it was for some guy who needed the track for his wedding (or it was for the reception after the wedding)

I would just post it up right now, but that file is almost definitely on one of my external HD's - and I'm not at home at the moment

i've listedn back to this now and it does sound like its from vinyl afterall, and not a cd - so assume its from the 12"

Sorry to bump this old thread, but I'm confused: is there an 8:12 version of the Future Shock remix, or is the 12" version just mislabeled and it's really the 6:33 common version?

There is a 8:12 version of the Future Shock remix. It's only available on the 12" promo. This promo also has "Rob Rives & François K Prelude" and a long version of "Jedis Sugar Hit Mix" not available anywhere else.

There's a 2-disc Beaucoup Fish CD that says it has the 8:12 Future Shock on the back, but it's actually only the shorter version on the actual disc.

So Cups on the Bruce Lee promo was the album version, Push Upstairs was on the 92-02 (and the single), Jumbo was on a 92-02 (argentina, germany, japan), KoS/shudder was the album version and the promo just had Shudder removed, Winjer/Skym/Push Downstairs, SLAM werent on any other release(?), Bruce Lee was the same on the single, Kittens the same length on the KoS/Kittens promo, and Moaner "album version"/92-02 was the longest. Am I right here? this was never confirmed even tho this thread is aaaaancient.

In that case, all you need is the Argentinian 1992-2002 (or German/Japanese promo version) and a copy of BF. That version has Push Upstairs, Jumbo and Moaner longest versions.

Now, how about the shortest versions? :D

There is a Kittens edit on the Wip3out CD, and I think some of the others have been edited too. Leaves more room for other tracks on the CD!

Where can you get the full length Jumbo? I didn't even know there was a longer one. Is it all that different, or hardly different, like the full length version of Moaner?

The full-length Jumbo is only available on the promo (not retail) CD versions of 1992-2002 from Germany, Argentina, and Japan.

Yes, it's kind of like the difference between Moaner edited and full. It's a little bit longer, and it has a proper ending (not a fade-out).

Those promos also have the longest version of Dirty available, at 11:37.
