well not really but i had to get your attention somehow :o

for the past few years we've had an end of year poll of dirts favourite albums of the year and we're doing it again this year. simply email me or PM me your top albums of the year in order and I’ll compile the results and then post them over Christmas some time.

we've had quite a few votes so far but we could do with several more to make it more reflective of everyone's tastes here on the forums - and remember if you don't vote then you can't really bitch when the results come out and your favourite album didn't make the top 10

so get voting, thanks for reading and apologies again for pulling such a cheap trick in order to get people to read this thread ;)

and, of course, a very merry christmas to one and all...

okay, apologies again but i thought most people here by now would know that you tend to hear about new UW stuff through dirty.org first anyway so it was unlikely i'd have heard about it somewhere else

it's just we haven't got as many votes in the poll this year as we usually do and it's a much better poll the more votes it gets...

so sorry, but please take the 60 seconds or so it takes to send me your top albums of the year anyway

i'll try and knock up a short list of albums, but really this year sucked for albums, and music in general... imo

i only bought a couple myself... most of the albums i actually bought were 1980's retrospective 12" compilations....!!! (sorry the 80's Rool!)

i'll probably compile and post the results between christmas and the new year so you've got until then to get your votes in

in the interests of impartiality i've deliberately not looked at any entries yet as i've not finished my own top ten and don't want to be prejudiced

we've had a flurry of new votes since i've posted this thread so what ever your opinion of it, it seems to be having the desired effect
