More episodes. They're going to continue for the next five months, and at the end of it, they'll release a selection of tracks on the CD and vinyl, and all the tracks on the box set.
Episode 4 starts on Thursday. It's possible there might be 6 EPs. Just looking at the calendar, I'm not sure how they could stretch 2 EPs all the way to the end. That boxset is everything I could have wanted from this and more. A 'proper' album and then everything else bunged in there too, a book... great stuff. I'm guessing we won't be getting an AHDO box this year.

I've got them sussed. This release late this year then the AHDO box set in 2022 (20th anniversary) with a nice break for them in between. Lets just hope the latter relrase includes all of riverrun.

wow, how great is this. all (probably) the drift tracks on a physical release and a selection of them to form a 'proper' album. throw in some nice vinyl, blu-ray vids, merch and book. perfect!

The suspense of having to wait until payday to see if I can still drop $80 on a box set...
The artwork’s been great for these, but can’t say I’m a fan of the one they picked for the official release. Ah well. Also hey, if I’ve already spent $30 for the official EPs, do I get the rest for free if I buy the box set. Bit of a Bjork move to have to spend another 50 for digital product. |

well I guess it depends on how "expanded" and "enhanced" the tracks are. I got the impression that the album wasn't just going to be a comp of the best stuff. Also it would be kind of odd to present the EPs with tracks missing, since they do sorta flow together.
though that does get me thinking...since EP 2 is over the max run time for a CD, it'll have to be split up...which does leave the possibility of six episodes. so, Disc 1 would be Drift 1, plus Drift 2 minus Appleshine Continuum, Disc 2 would be AC + parts of Drift 3....something like that |

Pre-ordered the boxset. That's a lot of cash, especially with shipping, but hey, like they say, more new music in a year than the previous 15. And it's been a fun ride so far, so why not support and get some extras?

this might be a bit much to expect, but wouldn't it be NEAT if they melded appleshine and its continuum version to make a 20 minute monster of sorts? we already have the 47 minute stretch, and appleshine itself has always felt just a biiiit too one-note to stand up on its own, but would be a great glue for the more jammy sections...? probably getting ahead of myself.

well the press release does say it "expands and enhances a selection of the recordings from the DRIFT Series since it began in November 2018.". a number of these tracks already have multiple versions. so that leads me to believe it'll be more than just a compilation.
