No. I don't think it's going to end up sounding like a PVD track. Cheesy synth melodies may be his preferred working material and this could end up sounding very good.

I don't know as I haven't heard it. He's remixed stuff in the past hasn't he? I think it'll be fine. Not going to judge till I hear it.

well what I think Diamond Jigsaw is probably the most fitting track for him to be working on because it's kinda happy/cheesy/trancy in the first place.
I trust Underworld's judgement in picking the people they work with but we'll have to wait and see.

YES. By the sounds of Scribble they have given their collabs a lot of control over the sounds and I wouldnt be suprised if this whole album is going to sound like a compilation rather than a cohesive sound.

And they are NOT remixes... i would say all the artists have a lot of creative control and as a result it will sound at least a little bit like PvD... so if you dont like PvD I wouldnt be very optomistic.


I wonder when Underworld are going to release their first album since Oblivion with Bells.. cus it isnt happening this year by the sounds of it!

kind of agree - not at all enjoying the live version of "Diamond Jigsaw" - so if PvD turns this into Trance Anthem Big Hitz 2010, it might be an improvement. Funny, though - the other collaborators are fairly recent/up-and-coming...PvD, not so much.

I wish UW weren't collaborating with anyone for this album. I think the reason why I like YDS over Scribble is mainly because of High Contrast's input with Scribble. Paul Van Dyk's appearance just sounds like a bad idea and I wasn't a fan of Downpipe, so I'm not really looking forward to the contribution by Mark Knight. But I will remain optimistic! At least it's PVD and not Armin Van Crapbag or someone of that nature. I think PVD actually has some talent (buried somewhere in him) even though I don't listen to his material myself. On a side note, I can't believe Strumpet isn't making an appearance (or at least to my knowledge it isn't). I could have sworn that was a keeper...

I have faith in Underworld. Therefore no, I don't think PvD will ruin this song.

I think it's interesting. I have no idea how this is going to sound - so I'm nervous, but excited at the same time. I've enjoyed PvD's past releases (before In Between) - so yeah, I think Underworld could bring out the best in him.

From the live version we've heard, Diamond Jigsaw sounds very 80's mainstream anyway. Letting PvD add his trademark gorgonzola might improve it because as it stands I doesnt sound finished (which is probably very accurate; we've only heard it a few times last year). So to answer, its hard to ruin something thats unfinished (how do you know its ruined?). Cant give a yes or no.
