I think rez and cowgirl go best together. rez is a good intro to the slamming awesomeness (wow I sound silly) of cowgirl; however, If I had to pick a fav, it would be cowgirl, because i LOVE to sing along with it... and I plan on covering it soon :P

I'm with both Stimpee and Undarrenworld. That live version is the absolute best for me. Rez ALWAYS gets me going. Another thing that makes me like Rez more is that I have friends who despise techno (heresy) and after a couple listens they too enjoy Rez. I'm still trying to concince them of electronic music's greatness. Oh well, I once disliked it too... then everything changed.

Interestingly enough, it was "Cowgirl" that got me into techno in general and Underworld in particular. It was the first song I heard by them. At the time, it sounded so weird and unlike anything else to me that I said, "By Jove, old boy, these chaps are off their rockers!" and forgot about it. But over the next year, it kept nagging me at the back of my mind until I gave up and bought all of their albums. A cautionary tale for you.

First UW song I heard, I believe, is Cowgirl. I may've heard a bit of Born Slippy .NUXX since that was a huge song, but I live in the U.S., and a song could be popular in every other country but here, and we'd never know about it. So yeah, I voted for Cowgirl. But really, they're more like two halves of the same song. They work so well together, especially live. Can't have one without the other imo.

The studio versions have totally different moods, in my opinion. "Rez" is sort of happy and celebratory. "Cowgirl" is tense and even kind of menacing. In the live version they make it sound more like "Rez" though.
