View Full Version : Jackson & His Computer Band
I've heard a little bit of the forthcoming Smash album and am loving what I'm hearing. This is wicked by the way - kinda Squarepusher meets !!! -ish. More when I've given this guy a thorough checking out.

i heard the single "rock on" on Radio1 while I was in England and i was quite impressed by it, so I got the album afterwards.
I must say the whole album is not as good as the single, probably because it's using the same ideas over and over again (chopped-up drums meeting distorted electro beats) but it's an album that sounds interesting after all. no easy listening, but I don't expect that from Warp Records anyway.
and "rock on" is truly amazing
Yes, actually listening to Smash now, and it sounds pretty fresh. Just the kind of crossover between these styles that i've been waiting for. Soon there will be no more genres.. This is like Go!Team meets Akufen or something.

awesome, wide-eyed freakout of jimmy edgar getting his ass kicked in by apparat for 48 hours while cassius does enough crack to stab a dog.

I'm digging the song "arpeggio".
It doesn't sound groundbreaking but certainly worth the listen.
Some crazy tunes tough and thats what I like :)
