Looks like a great show and song selection.
Now the question is did 'Cacophony' make it all the way through without throwing up? Hope so.

:o just barely. i had to leave twice and go sit out in the corridor with my little baggie of shredded wheat, just trying to get something into my stomach so it would settle. then i went back in and danced. not as much as i would have if i didn't have two tiny passengers in me, but i danced nonetheless.
the show was just over 2 hours. they came on with darc around 9:30 and they wrapped up a slamming rendition of king of snake around 11:40. i couldn't tell but it looked like karl may have had some technical difficulties with his guitar and mic during the early part of the show. there was an ever-present roadie who kept having to come out and make adjustments for him.

centerstage has a ridiculously good sound system. So crisp.
Nuxx was a rare highlight for me. They sped up the improv from the HMH show before Boyx3. Very slamming.
The only weird moment was the sudden slow down of Pearls in order to play BB.
I took lots of videos. I'll post em when I get back to Jersey on Monday.

true, the short pearls girl was strange and the hissing mic at the beginning was a little distracting, but the thumping intro to BS.Nuxx and the totally bitchin' cowgirl made up for it and the fact that they never come to the states. I couldn't be happier. Now I have to pack up for the 10 hour drive back to ohio...
Seriously, that version of Nuxx was the best I've ever heard and the whole gang on stage was smiling these big silly grins like they just became dads for the first time or something. It was awesome.

what an amazing night.
bummed that the wife was sick and didn't make the trek, but met some dirts at the spotted dog - hello and thanks to lectoid, netwerk, and katester. saw crank (and someone else who's name i didn't catch) sitting on the patio as we were leaving for the subway.
the show was amazing. my 2 favorites - juanita and dirty epic - both played early on. amazing sound in the venue, clear as a bell. i shot plenty of camera vids, which became progressively shakier as my booty shook progressively harder throughout the show! i'll try to figure out howwhere to post vids and pics later. (i'm watching/listening to mo move now and the sound is fairly decent.)
here's a pic of the setlist, not 100% accurate with what was played...http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i225/disko_stew/IMG_08231.jpg
my best guess would be:
darc
mowed path
juanita
crocodile
nuxx
jumbo
dirty epic
mo move (no vocals)
tmo
slippy original
pearls intro
bb
bamboo
rez/cowgirl
kos - encore
probably more little snippets i missed that others can id. super setlist.

they didn't cut the set short, they just played a few different tracks. Karl seemed happy as can be from my pov. Maybe a lil annoyed in the beginning though.
Sometimes they have to cut tracks to stay around the 2 hour mark. In Hamburg, for example, they cut Mo Move and Mmm Skyscraper.

Long time lurker, infrequent poster, just wanted to share my story here. I was luck enough to meet Rick, Karl and Darren before the show and just wanted to say what nice guys they are. I was waiting around while they soundchecked and Rick and Darren came out first. I approached and asked if I could get my Live in Tokyo 2005 cd signed and they were happy to oblige. I then asked Rick if I could get a picture and he said sure but if I waited a couple of minutes I could get one with both Karl and himself. While waiting for Karl, I had about a five minute conversation with Rick about Atlanta, the South, their travel plans, and U2. Karl then came out and I got my picture (taken by Darren) and cd signed. As they were leaving I asked if there was any chance they could play Dirty Epic and Rick said maybe but he couldn't promise anything. Seeing as they did play it, I would like to thanks them for that as well. Here are some pics and me and the guys and my cd. Took a lot of other pics and I'll try to put online soon.

GREAT show! What an emotional night. So many technical problems, and yet Underworld still managed to pull off the best show I could possibly hope for.
Watching the boys up there last night was like watching captains sailing a ship that had sprung several leaks. Mic doesn't work? Pump out an amazing long Darc groove session. Pitch changes without warning? Turn it into a menacing version of Born Slippy.
The crowd was GREAT, the sound system was GREAT, and Underworld was GREAT! And, oh yeah..
I GOT TO TOUCH A GIANT INFLATABLE GLOWSTICK! YE-UH! Yes, I was the one bouncing it :o
Oh, and I met a really cool guy there who traveled from Colombia and seemed to know all the lyrics. Would he happen to be a member of this forum..?
Edit: Second aside - Would anyone happen to have copies of Karl's last couple of diary entries? I've been without internet a couple days. Ok, last aside - I was up front (where pretty much the only thing you can hear is bass) so does anyone know what Karl said in his Atlanta poem? Thanks

Most of you there probably saw me - I was right up front on the left side of the stage with a shaved head, glasses, and a newly purchased black UW shirt - I was jumping up and down most of the night like a crazed maniac. I was also the one yelling "FUCK YEAAAAH!" really loud a few times during the night.

Nothing earthshattering. I just asked if the collaboration between U2/Underworld would ever be released. Rick said he doesn't see why it wouldn't be released one day but it was basically up to U2. Then we talked about how Bono recorded the vocals while laying in the street and he couldn't even hear the music. That lead to him talking about how they were such nice guys especially Larry.

you, too, are a god among men. god, that performance of crocodile was so lovely. my husband isn't what you'd call a "fan" (at least not the way i define it) but he's very very familiar with their catalog because of me. for him, crocodile was the best part of the show because he said he felt like the track is really strong and he felt like the performance was tight and intense and well packaged.
he also said he was impressed because he'd never seen any footage of UW playing live before (aside from the snippets of EE i've forced him to watch) and he was afraid it was going to be a couple of guys standing behind a couple of decks, stoically reeling off recordings one after another. instead he was surprised by how dynamic it was and the way in which karl managed to make electronic music a fully engaging performance, like a full on rock show.
stuff we all know here, but it was really interesting to get the perspective of someone who really sort of experienced this as a first, fresh exposure.
oh, and as an aside, he said jumbo was his least favorite performance because the music made him feel claustrophobic.

actually, we started the show in the seats to the left of that guy. at that moment, though, i was out in the hall sternly lecturing my nauseated stomach. i ended up watching the first half of cowgirl on the monitors before i felt well enough to go back in for the rest of the show.

sounded to me like the original, nothing altered, just used as an overlay transitioning between darc and juanita. but it's tough to say. i've never been the trainspotter that the megaubersuperfans are. :p
it was so nice for me on a personal level because for some reason for the last couple of weeks i've been listening to mowed path almost daily. it's perfect for the ride into work on the train. so the instant i heard it i almost shot straight up out of my seat.

I can't say enought about this venue. I've never seen an UW show that sounded as crisp as this one did. I usually expect the vocals to be a bit muddied but from the first word Karl spoke, I could understand everything.
The song choice was remarkably awesome and it totally played to the crowd.
Oddly enough, I know exactly what your husband is referring to, Cacophony, with his Jumbo comment. That song DID feel overbearing or something. The breakdown felt a lot more free and whimsical though.
EDIT: also, i seem to have caught BB's cough. So if *cough* any PM is going around/was going around while I was away regarding a second listen to the best show ever, *cough* could I please be included?

Hi all! Long time lurker first time... ahh, you know what I'm about to say. Anyway, I was absolutely thrilled to finally be able to catch an Underworld show, especially after being a fan for so quite a while. I'll admit to being a bit concerned with the technical issues at the beginning of the show. Even "Juanita" seemed a bit less powerful than it should have been and left me wondering what was happening on stage. And then... "Crocodile." Finally, the kick was moving air, the bass was solid, the vocals were clear and the euphoric wash of sound that filled Center Stage during the chorus made my hair stand on end. Incredible. The rest of the show was equally as amazing and I can't wait to catch 'em again.

When I setup the account it said I'd be contacted with verification/account information once my account has been activated. I never received that information nor has the account been activated -- I just attempted to log on. It's not a matter of my "not bothering to read" something.
When I try to log into the the RTSR tracker, I get the invalid username/password message. I know the l/p I'm using and it's not invalid, so it appears that things still have yet to be activated.
I'm not going to argue. I know the l/p I'm using, I'm putting it in correctly and it's not working.

I, however, do not need to bother wasting any more time on trying to help you. You should trust that I do know what I'm talking about when it comes to the tracker.

RTSR log in?!?
I thought it was a mass email thing......or at least it was back when I signed up for it a couple of years ago....

The answer to your current problem was e-mailed to the list 41 minutes after your original e-mail to the list on March 7. All the answers have been given to you several times now. You do need to "bother to read."
I, however, do not need to bother wasting any more time on trying to help you. You should trust that I do know what I'm talking about when it comes to the tracker.
BTW, the greeting e-mail does NOT say you will be contacted. It says the account must first be approved by a moderator. I will, however, re-word the e-mail to clarify that approval does not include subsequent contact.
I have Y! set to send me emails -every- time a reply is made to one of my posts. If there had been a reply, I should have gotten it. As I stated earlier, it's not about my "bothering to read." I read.
Trying to help me? You're being nothing but a complete know it all snarky jerk to a guy who's trying to share a recording of an awesome show with you/RTSR. Helpful my ass.
Glad you won't be wasting any more of your time :)

So did this *cough* ever make it on the RTSR tracker? If not a PM would help remedy my *cough*.

I really do seem to be *ack* coming down with something as well.
I am on the RSTR mailing list but haven't seen anything that could *ahem* clear this tickle in my throat. Surely there must be a PM that could help.

I've never seen so much coughing in one forum. I think somebody must be smoking in here.

looks like the guy who wants to cure the cough is being told his cure isn't welcome.

Hey Charles,
You deserved it man, you were the first fan in the venue waiting for the show. Now, I'm back in Morgantown trying to focus on my job, but it's too difficult, as you see. Thanks for sharing.
Best regards!

It was bloody awesome. I am so glad I was able to go though sad I didn't get to meet up with the other dirties. By the time we got to town, got in the hotel, and got changed, it was too late to head to the Spotted Dog. We ate at Marlow's Tavern instead. Not too bad...at least we got our food pretty fast!
I took tons of photos but they're all on my man's camera. I may try to get them from him tonight. I haven't actually seen them on the computer yet!
Oh, and *cough* *sputter*...sorry I must have a terrible frog in my throat! :p
More from me later...

Edit: Oh, the opening DJ dude...his tunes were amazing. I wish I had a copy of his mix as well as the UW gig!

LOL, we left there not long before 8, took the MARTA to the Arts Center and got in the venue around 8:10 or so.

Dammit. Oh well...my loss, too. I think if I would have thought more and remembered the time change, losing an hour thing, we would have had enough time to make it.
We sat in the seats, stage right, 3rd row up in the section closest to the stage. I'll have to post some links to the photos, once I get them tonight, in the next day or so. I had a good photo of me & my dude on my camera but my aunt who flew into town Sunday for my cousin's wedding this Saturday left her camera at home in OH and borrowed mine, so it's about 100 miles away from me at the moment. :)

I was sitting outside on the patio wearing my UW shirt looking conspicuous!

Then you must have been sitting right behind me. I was the guy dancing like an idiot the whole time (complete with UW purple shirt)!
I'm not sure why but multiple times people stood behind me blowing weed.

Should've brought my camera damnit! Thought they'd be strict about them for some reason....
Seems EVERYONE else who was there filmed it though.:);)

Since there was a thread dedicated to people requesting this song....
Here is Juanita/Kiteless from Atlanta.

I've never used rapidshare, so hopefully it will work. If not, sorry.

Thanks
Yes, I'm a member, but this is my second entry ( I'm not good at written english but I'll try). Underworld, the sound system, the set list and the crowd were awesome, as Jim said. It was also really exciting to witness how they manage to overcome difficulties in such a smooth joyfully manner. They were just laughing and letting themselves to the vibe of the crowd. The inflatables have such a good design that they stay in place no matter the tilt, and are promptly deployed and collapsed.
Long Live Underworld!

Hey, RoniPhD! You're the same guy I chatted with at the front before the show? I was the guy with the black beanie on. If so, awesome  Your last post said you're working in Morgantown - wouldn't happen to be Morgantown, West Virginia would it? Because I live in Huntington!

I used the facilities at the show.
And I gave $2 to the funky man for helping me wash my hands.
