here it is again...

it started off as a birthday present for a friend of mine

I started off with a huuuuuuuge playlist, and it took forever to get it whittled down to a playlist hat would fit into 80 minutes

I'm still getting a hand on some of the bonus features of Traktor3, but I think it still sounds pretty damn good

(just wish I could figure out how I did a live edit on a previous version of the mix - this time around, I couldn't get the vocal on "Fool For Love" loop just right... originally, I -somehow- got just the 'you' bit to loop and synch with the DIM track, then just have the 'you've been' bit come in... before the whole proper track started)

editing on the fly is the only way to do it!

I'm glad to hear that you made this as a birthday mix. With so many bedroom and armchair djs out there now, it's nice to see that there's still tender loving care put into the art of the mixtape, with improved technology and your technical skills permitting a true mix, the likes of which weren't possible for the kids of the 80's with their Memorex and tape decks. Similar sentiments, but this is taking it to the next level.

Some interesting artists in here, a few that i haven't followed since i replaced trance with breaks with whatever i listen to now...will def. check it out!
