New York Central Park Gig Meetup Details

Hi people,

Preliminary meet up details:

gig is at Rumsey Playfield between 69th and 72nd street and Fifth Avenue. The summerstage site gives a map here: http://www.summerstage.org/index1.aspx?BD=18302

Gates open: 4.30pm
James Holden: 6pm
Underworld: 7.30pm til 10pm

I'm not sure how accurate these details are but Underworld wont be on earlier than 7.30pm surely. (main site indicates 6pm for something http://www.summerstage.org/index1.aspx?BD=20384, probably James Holden to start). Made Event page doesnt say much: http://www.madeevent.com/091407.php

The meetup is an Irish-American bar called Phoenix Park. They have great food (the burgers are good), numerous tap beers and sport on a load of TVs. They also have 4 or 5 different rooms (pool table) and a patio out the back for the smokers. If we're not in the front, then walk through and have a look around.

The nearest subway is the one on 68th and Lexington Avenue. Its the 6.

I'm gonna suggest meeting at 4pm onwards and then people can either go down at 6pm for James Holden or hang on for a while and go down for Underworld at 7pm.

Afterparty: For the after party, I'm not going to the "official" after party with Tenaglia, (as if Underworld will be there, they have to play Boston on Saturday), i'll be going to see John Digweed http://www.basicnyc.com check it out.

Actually....

Despite the fact that they were on for WAY too long at Knebworth before UW in the summer, Sasha and Diggers pulled off a damn good set between them. Ought to be worth the effort.
