Too bad the lighting guys didn't give you access to a soundboard. Here's to hoping one comes out.

just like New Order still use WiP titles for some of their songs 20+ years after they were released!

so i'm listening to the boot of this show again just now...to the amazing-oh-so-much-better-than-the-album-version of glam bucket, when what do i hear at the tail end of the track? scottish bloke spoken words bit that's the ring road lyrics.
i love discovering underworld within other underworld:D

That's the same guy who says "I'm a big sister . . ." and lots of other things isn't it? They must've had him record like 2 hours of speaking a couple years ago.

The lyrics from Ring Road camde from Karls observations of St Georges Day this year didn't they? Does this mean there are multiple lyric readings via different people?

Not from this year. Ring Road is at least 3 years old. As Jan mentioned, the lyrics appear in the slideshow gallery included with Lovely Broken Thing.

well... "Ring Road" itself - I can't imagine is "at least 3 years old"

but - yea, the lyrics to the track have been around for a while

btw - I'm thinking that the Hollywood Bowl show was one of the best concerts I've ever been to...

agreed...right now i can't decide if that show is better than the first time i saw the boys in chicago 98. it was very different; much smaller venue with a tightly packed crowd, longer jams of as then unreleased tracks like kos and push, and i think the visuals were a bit better...plus it was my first time:)
on the other hand, outdoors on a cool night under the stars in a wonderful venue and the omg glam bucket...

tough choice!

Well, as I mentioned in the Music Bank Jam thread, you've got the 8 second clip of Ring Road from 2006-05-13 that has the lyrics and beat in pretty much final form. And the lyrics making an appearance with the 2005-11-09 release of LBT. If the lyrics were really written on St. George's Day, then the latest they could have been written is 4/23/05. But I think given the age of some of the songs (e.g. near-final Peggy Sussed and a final Cuddle Bunny at the Music Bank Jam in late 2004), 2004 or even 2003 is likely for the origins of Ring Road. So yeah, it's a couple years old at least.

I love these little things that get noticed.
