The Matrix Dezionized:

"a special edition combining Matrix Reloaded and Matrix Revolutions to one complete movie. unauthorized fanmade edition by the CBB group.

Everything that has a beginning... may not have a disappointing end. But the Matrix Trilogy had a very disappointing end. Reloaded was nothing compared to The Matrix and Revolutions even nothing compared to Reloaded...

Pathetic.

That is why we made this edition. We did watch the movies over and over, sensing there was quality in them, but so many things were distracting, did not make much
sense, were just boring to watch.

Then Boon came up with the idea to leave out Zion at all, to never have Morpheus speech, nor the great battle, not the dance scene, not the prime minister and especially no Commander Locke. We thought about it a lot and we came to the result, he was right. Zion had to be left out of the sequels to get a better movie and it would be possible to do that without destroying the plot, cause all major and important actions happen to be at other locations than Zion. We also shortened lots of other scenes we did not like or thought to be not fitting, e.G. the dream sequence beginning, where Trinity falls out of the window. Although this scene was great action, it just was not thrilling and as it is repeated later on, we just deleted it (in fact we put this scene to the point, when it actually happened and deleted the shortened version there). Of course we thougt about plenty other scenes to leave out, e.G. the indian family in the beginning of Revolutions, but we decided it was good to have that for mood and plot. All in all it took us several months to think about which scenes to keep and which one to cut.

There are two main parties we want to say thank you to and both them will not like it:thanks to the entire production team of MAtrix Reloaded and Matrix Dezionized, you did a great job and gave us everything we needed to make our "improved" edition. We admire your work and will always do so. thanks to the software companies, who create such nice tools that make it possible to keep the highest possible quality in creating movies to our own likings. The present is a nice time to live in.

Hmm.....I'm a bit mixed on the fan edits, but that last matrix film, and even the second one were pretty dodgy throughout with the Wachowski's pretty much losing their minds to who knows what. I'll watch it, or at least skip through it just to see what it's like.

Cue up the torrent.

I liked and still like all three. the Ultimate Matrix Collection explains a lot of neat things you'd never even notice in the films if you didn't know. Very subtle and subliminal touches that 99% of the population can never grasp.

For instance, all of the license plates in Reloaded are abbreviated bible verses
If you look up the verse, it is a direct parallel to what is going on.:cool:

Okay, I finally sat and watched this today and I must say this is how it should have been. One movie. No Zion. All in the Matrix. This totally was way better than I expected.

Great job. I loved it.

I had mine seed to 1.5 on the ratio, then i had to can it. Probably will watch it tomorrow. At this point I'm very curious as I only saw Revolutions once and was pretty displeased with the film as a whole.

Yeah, I only ever saw Revolutions once, at the theater and i hated it. But all the reasons why I hated it were cut out, so, you might like this version too.

I don't get the whole Matrix hoo-haa. That is, I think they're all stupid. I don't understand the pedestal the first one was put on. It just seems like MyFirstScienceFiction Movie or something. That is, I think its appeal was that it presented science fiction to people who aren't normally keen on it, but they're disregarding the fact that it's stupid because it's stylish. No? I mean, I understand that two and three are stupid (and entertaining, at times on purpose and at times not), but why don't people think the first is the same?

I think that it kind of captured something about the mindset of the time when it was released. It was just before the millenium switch and the mass subconscious was in termoil. People were wondering if the world was going to end; if all the computers were going to crash; if Jesus was coming back, etc. All this tension was played out in the Matrix. It reflected the darkness of the Nineties and spit it back in your face in a regurjitated bad ass we will not be stopped kind of fashion. Not only that, but the special effects where unlike anything you saw before.

I remember that when I saw the Matrix, on opening night, I left the movie theater with my jaw dragging on the floor. I was 25 and it seemed to collect everything about our generations culture and crammed it into a two hour flick that just rocked.

Some movies can get by on style and concept alone. I think Blade Runner is like the Matrix as it's very stylish and asks the question are we real or replicants? (is this the real world or the matrix?) But I wouldn't want to watch a sequel to BR as it would be kinda boring to see Deckard killing off more replicants.

Also guns are cool.

Aw, horsecrap! I thought that was one of the best parts of the whole trilogy! (Well, at least the second two films). Plus, the "rave" track is "Zion" by Fluke, first called "Slap It" and then shortened to "Another Kind of Blues" on their last LP. It's kickass.

I finally got around to watching this over the weekend. Not bad, but definently an improvement over the previous two films. I like how the film opened with the end of the first film. There were some parts that still kind of bother me, but you can't really do much about that, but just make another cut. Like for example, why fight a whole bunch of Agent Smith's when you can just fly away after meeting the oracle.

That whole conversation between Neo and Sigmund Freud is still pretty goofy, but I did like how the story moved along without the need for cutting back to the Zion council with Cornel West and then Harry Lennox and on and on and then the machines getting in.

The Matrix DeZIONized was our 3rd edition. Prior to it were:
Hannibal- hannibalized edition, featuring much more hannibal and much less distraction.

Star Trek - Kirkless Generations: Star Trek - Generations without Captain Kirk.

And after DeZIONized we made the following:

27 Days Later - 28 days later with much less of the soldier scenes.

Doomed by the Boogeyman - Boogeyman with additional scenes, a new ending, telling a different story and leaving out plenty of plotholes.

All these movies can be found via bitorrent, some of them are pretty hard to get, but those of you looking for something special might find some true additions to their collections.

Our next projects:
War of the Worlds
Man on Fire
Titanic

Why do we do this? Well, because we love good movies and we think that good ideas should be used to create good stuff. Remember: we are living in the cover version age.
