Casio Commander 2: Palm Trees, Daiquiris & Ataris
A nostalgic reflection on the wonder & beauty of being young, and the bittersweet sadness of watching the world move on; this concept piece is filled with a richness & depth that alot of modern electronic works lack. Put that all together with slammin' beats & catchy melodic work, and you've got the prescription for the perfect cookout record of 2006!

You got my attention as a long-time CASIO and Atari fan!:p DLed and skimming now...sounds promising! i'll give you some more detailed feedback once i listen more closely. But i'm liking the vibes so far. The modern beats counter nicely with these analog sounds...very Orbital-like (that's a compliment, too, unless you don't dig the brothers Hartnoll. in that case ,suffice it to say i mean, it's well crafted bleep-n-bloops!)

thanks for this!

Shichman, are you "the artist"? Or just doing Casio Commander's PR work?;)

Hey, i've listened to this a couple more times...some really excellent hooks in there. In a couple places, there might be too much going on (one of the tracks in particular, i think the third, has some countermelofies that are in a different key from the rest, making for an unsettling listen), but overall, it's a fun EP. i've been to Wildwood, NJ (the inspiration for this record, i suppose?) and the place would be better if this was the music you heard on the boardwalk!
