:: Antony and the Johnson - I Am A Bird Now
:: Bloc Party - Silent Alarm
:: Coldplay - X&Y
:: The Go! Team - Thunder, Lightning, Strike
:: Hard-Fi - Stars of CCTV
:: KT Tunstall - Eye to the Telescope
:: Kaiser Chiefs - Employment
:: The Magic Numbers - The Magic Numbers
:: Maximo Park - A Certain Trigger
:: M.I.A. - Arular
:: Polar Bear - Held on the Tips of Fingers
:: Seth Lakeman - Kitty Jay
Looks likely the Kaiser Chiefs will win as there the most popular at the minute, Coldplay wont win as they always stick a massive band in!
Love to see The Go! Team, Magic Numbers or Maximo Park win, just as long as its not Hard-Fi.
The Go! Team
Be good to see Tom Vek in that list.

Given what I've heard, I'm rooting for Arular all the way.

Wesh wesh...
If Arular sounded like Piracy Funds Terrorism, I'd go Arular, but it doesn't, so I'll be backing Bloc Party.

i saw Seth Lakeman play at my old school, must have been 6 or 7 months ago now. he's a folky bloke, and was doing a tour with some other folky bloke that my mum likes, and some young blonde girl who musta been about fourteen. they were touring THIS (http://www.fishrecords.co.uk/reviews/westernapproaches.htm), and were actually quite good, if you like that kind of thing.
It's good to see such a small act get a nomination for such a prestigious prize. i only hope to god that the Kaiser Chiefs don't win it. they're rubbish.

there's some of my favourite albums so far this year on the list - i'd be happy to see m.i.a., bloc party, the magic numbers or hard-fi win it
i quite like the kaiser chiefs album too - it's nothing groundbreaking but it's fun to sing along to in the car.
the maximo park album is pretty good too although i haven't played that as much as some of the others
coldplay's album is pretty average to be honest - just more of the same and no real attempt at progression
haven't heard the go team! album yet but imagine it's quite fun too

the only album i know from that list is the Coldplay one (which i think is great, but i've never heard any of their previous albums)

The Go! Team are far and away the best act on that list, definitely worth checking out.

Albums good, but a few to many fillers i think.

I think that the music sounds so fresh every track's a killer. Difficult to justify Air Raid Guitar though...
