So I saw Zakir Hussain last night.
Ustad Sultan Khan brought tears to my eyes. I don't remember that ever happening from instrumental music, or from a live performance, to me on any other occasion.
The sitar player, Niladri Kumar, and the pakhawaj player, Bhavani Shankar, were both insanely good, too.
I believe this is a tour, and I encourage anyone who can to go. What a fantastic experience.
