Anyone seen this? Just saw it last night, and it's incredibly moving. Russell Crowe is excellent at heartfelt portayals, and the boxing scenes are brutally realistic. When this first was released, i wondered why on earth we needed another boxing movie (Rocky 1 - 5, Ali, Hurricane come to mind, i'm sure there's more). But it was a nice surprise.

really? i am surprised. i was pretty sold on this being another oscarbait based-on-true-story sapfest so i pretty much dismissed it. did anyone else see it? not that i don't take your word for it, Holden but you know... a whole bunch of people agreeing with you never hurts :)
