this movie came out 20-some years ago. it was very much so ahead of its time.

it was about these scientists (christopher walken + louise fletcher) who invent a way of recording thoughts, feelings, tastes, etc. from one person onto a tape..and play it back to another and experience the same things.

the movie was really kick-ass. and had some amazing scenes. especially since the re-enactment scenes (what the people saw in the playback) was shot in 70mm..

Strange Days is another film that was ahead of it's time.....great stuff.

P.S. Anyone else think it strange that Neo was selling similar neural experience cartridges as the ones in Strange Days at the start of the first Matrix.....?

I love Brainscan! Always watch it when it gets shown on late night television. Good trashy fun. :p

strange days was a rip off of brainstorm.. only the story in brainstorm was actually better.

Strange Days is an underrated film! Easily one of my favorite films of the 90s.

yeah.This wouldn't surprise me at all, but I'll agree that Strange Days was a very interesting movie. I know a few people that found it too disturbing to properly enjoy, which I can kindda see, but if you ask me that's a lot better than boring. I'll see if I can rent this Brainstorm sometime and compare and contrast.
