there are several renaissance disks out. the new one is a re-release. vol 1 is sasha and john, vol 2 is just john. both are 3 disks. the sounds are a bit dated, but they are both very famous mixes. i am really digging the john digweed "choice" disks. old "happy" dance music. more housey than prog/trance.

Oh why didnt you say it was this one. This was the re-release from 10 years ago. Until then it was going for about $100 on ebay for a copy. Worth buying for sure and possibly one of the best mix cds ever made.

mine is the re-releaseThe original is worth a fair bit on ebay.

Also note the lemon interupt remix and song, and the steppin razor remix.

i was just listening to this on my way in to work - many good moments! fave bit is when it gets into "for what you dream of", and some rewinds in the mix on disc 2!

starting cd1 with 3 leftfield tracks was the best decision ever.

and yea, it's awesome.

vol 2 is a bit more "mid-90s" --freaky chakra, daphne(change) pete lazonby, etc. of course mixed in the diggers fashion....5 minute mixes with 3 minute breaks. i've never seen it since i bought it in the 90s.

Also note the lemon interupt remix and song, and the steppin razor remix.

when i saw lemon interupt on there it was proably one of the main reasons i bought the album. that, and i like leftfield too.

...whic reminds me

hey carpy- did you happen to get that old Leftfield gig that they were talking about a while ago on the LF message board? I wanna say it was from their Liveism tour (so that would be... 96?)

apparently it was also recorded off the soundboard!
oh and do you have the web addy for the MB - I lost it when I had to erase my computer (and I forgot to save all my favorites)
