View Full Version : DJ Shadow - What Does Your Soul Look Like
Part 4 of this being one of my favourite tunes ever, I ask: where the hell can I get all the other parts? Part 1 and 4 are on Endtroducing, and I do recall something about an EP where all the parts are on but I might confuse that with The Box EP by Orbital :p
Anyway, does anyone know more of this, or does someone have the EP. can anyone tell me ANYHTHING?!?!?!?
Thanks :)

yea - you can get all four on 12" and Cd... although those can be quite rare (expensive)
but
the album "Pre-Emptive Strike" has all four parts and some other cool early-ish stuff, that's totally worth purchasing (like In/Flux, Hindsight, High Noon, Organ Donor [Extended Overhaul])
the cd version comes with a bonus disc (I think) with some sort of mix, but I'm not sure, as I bought Pre-Emptive Strike on vinyl - which also has different interludes than on the cd...

The second disk of Pre-emptive strike is a mega-mix by DJ Q-Bert, which is quite worth it for the full poem used in "Midnight in a Perfect World" (the "Gab" mix as it appears in the special edition of "Endtroducing" that came out last year)
And "High Noon" is brilliant: Spaghetti Western Jungle.

Were "Stem" Shadow's only contribution to music, I'd still write his name on a cave wall.

Pre-Emptive Strike is worth it for High Noon alone. I'd argue that's his best track.
