OKAY FOLKS--- a chance to let your opinions run wild. A friend of mine and I were contemplating seeing Bob Sinclair on NYE in Auckland, New Zealand (we live here, not flying in, not that stupid). I have been the on/off fan over the years, but never seen him DJ live before. He is supported for the evening by a bunch of local nobodies, so basically the question comes down to... do we blow the $69 strictly for the Bob Sinclair experience, or do we find something else to do (sheep buggering for instance... kidding...)? Is he worth seeing live? People who have seen him in person before, feel free to be honest here. You are in the process of making history for this dirtylister and his mate.
Thanks for your input, cheers, and happy (almost) new year!
Chris

If its Bob Sinclair, avoid like the plague cos he's some imposter. However, if its french housey bloke Bob Sinclar then it might be worth it if its a good club and the rest of the night is looking good.
I havent seen him live but I've got the Essential Mix from Radio one from back in May and its pretty damn good, with loads of african tunes thrown in mixed with funky new house (something to do with his africanism project i think). If you want something harder, look elsewhere but if you want house and funk with a splash of disco with a smile on its face then he's yer man.
$69NZ is $47US/£27/39euros BTW. I think its a bit steep but it is NYE and getting fleeced is par for the course these days.
I think he's doing some kiwi-aussie tour...
that's like half the price of any NYE gigs i've seen. i hope there's an open bar!

love generation sucks, it's played 6 times a day on the comercial radio here

Guys you are missing the point.
That track made summer 2005.
No question about that.
And well, every cool track leaks to mainstream.
Its sad that this track will be official FIFA WM 2006 anthem.
I agree that now its overplayed by mainstream massmedias, but in summer it was HOT;)

That track is very uninteresting.
And the gig is too expensive IMO. Could be fun if it was like € 12, but 39 euros is just not worth seeing a DJ for.
