new dirtymeet would be fun, I'll be at one of them (look for an announcement on Feb 10 on uwlive / social media) :p
Got tickets for the Oslo gig, and still have my fingers crossed for a 2nd date, although not very likely now I guess.. If they announced that they would do a different show that day, I think 80% of the ones who have tickets already would buy for the 2nd date as well. Heere's to hoping! :D

Underworld website says Aug 15:

Looking at past installments of Boomtown Fair, they do not sell single day tickets. So, it seems pretty pricey if you're only interested in UW.

https://kay.ac/00qVdo - closest hotel to the venue (still a bit of a walk because the venue is at the docks), and a reasonable $105 per night. You can take the UP Express from the airport to Union Station, and then Uber from there.

It's actually a rather large venue. It accommodates 5000 standing. The last time they came to California, they played the 2 Fox theatres which are around 1800 and 2800 capacity. Pomona sold out, but Oakland did not.
It's kind of a lame venue though, it's just a long hall. I was in there once, and I don't remember what the acoustics were like, but the ambience is lame.

I cannot for the life of me wonder why they do not play Chicago. Setlist.fm lists 32 gigs played in the USA since that 2002 tour when they played in Chicago.

2009: Las Vegas, Oakland
2010: LA, LA, San Diego, SF, NY, Washington DC

It really is baffling why Chicago keeps getting passed over. At one point, I had heard rumors that there were issues with promoters and stuff like that, but surely those sorts of things could have been resolved over the last 17 years...

It's actually a rather large venue. It accommodates 5000 standing.
Compared to the Fox Theatre's yes it is much larger, but I was making the comparison to the Hollywood Bowl Show - which they sold out 5 years ago and that place holds over 17,000. I've seen them at the Bowl twice, but I favor the indoor venues. The Shrine Expo is a long hall with a balcony that circles from either side of where they usually set up the stage. I'm not sure if it'll be any different for UW. The key is to get up front or close to the stage from the balcony. I don't believe they have speakers at the end of the hall and from the far end it will echo. It's definitely not the venue I would choose to see them at, however, it's my only option and I couldn't wait for them to come back. My raving days and bouncing off other body days are over, so I'll likely be up in the balcony, hopefully rail side to get a good view. Doors open at 8pm and they're scheduled to go on at Midnight. Nuts!

Just read this on UW’s Instagram: “Unfortunately, because of all the uncertainty around Coronavirus and how it impacts live music events, there are currently no rescheduled dates, so we advise you claim a refund from your point of purchase. (UW Office)”
Bummer, but in a way I’m relieved. I just read an article in the Atlantic that predicts a second wave of infections this fall/winter, much like what happened with the Spanish flu in 1918. I’m glad they’re playing it safe. If they had rescheduled to coincide with the September Movement dates, it might have been too soon. Roll on, spring 2021!

I think the rest of the tweet means they're trying to get the promoter to schedule a standalone Detroit date, and then reschedule the rest of the NA dates too.

Has anyone received a refund to the cancelled San Francisco show scheduled for May 15th? AXS cancelled the show a month ago, no refund yet, and no luck with support channels.

Supposedly within 30 business days to your credit card, so technically they have a couple more weeks to meet that deadline:

The Palladium website says the show has been postponed, make-up date to be determined. The Tempodrom website says Info to Follow, but all the Tempodrom shows surrounding it have been postponed or cancelled. Nothing on the Grey Hall website yet, and I didn't check any of the other dates. No surprise, but I think it's safe to say these dates aren't happening.

Nothing is happening. No gatherings are permitted, basically anywhere, so nothing can happen. Unsure how a live event can happen before either test-on-entry or a vaccination.

This will be the first year since 2004 that UW haven't performed a live show.
