WEST HOLTS STAGE FRIDAY 22:15 - 23:45
No info yet if there will be something on BBC radio 1-6 or BBC telly 1-6/red button etc.

They are up right after Róisin Murphy.
Time to ask her for a Jam on stage and/or get with her in the studio!

Looks like it's going to be muddy:

I guess it will be live on BBC 4, but it will also be available online on-demand soon after broadcast here:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b07hmswl

And part of it should be live on BBC 6 Music, including streaming live here:

There seems to be an 'all concerts' streamed after they left the stage thingy going on at the BBC site.

Yeah mud-festivals everywhere. In Belgium Werchter Festival this weekend, is looking for 'a couple of thousands' of parking spaces, since the original ones are to muddy. Same with some festivals in the Netherlands.

Glasto, there will be an Oxfam live CD with top acts for sale after the festival. (Underworld not named, (yet?)) Dedicated to the murdered politician and Oxfam activist Jo Cox

Underworld return to Glastonbury Festival (official) (https://www.facebook.com/glastonburyofficial/) this year after a seventeen year hiatus, catch them on Friday from 10.15pm on the West Holts stage or if your having a rave in your living room the whole show is on BBC Four (https://www.facebook.com/bbcfour/) from 10.30pm. What are you hoping they play?

from their facebook. Hopefully that last question can be read to mean that they'll be changing it up a little?

Ah good, this saves me the work of finding the information myself :P Shall be tuning in!

I saw Roisin before the guys last year in Berlin and I have to say I found her act rather tiring after 15 minutes, though admittedly I wasn't feeling the best either.

I doubt it. The BBC radio stations usually work abroad (with the exception of some events), but BBC television is usually strictly off limits for those without a UK IP address.

You'd be better off waiting for the inevitable rip to appear on YouTube :p

Yes!

BTW, as posted on Facebook, the broadcast on BBC 4 will now be starting at 11:30 PM tonight, rather than 10:15.

It's great to see Rick singing along! He's really going for it, I've not seen him so animated before! So far it looks like the standard festival setlist but here's hoping for some nice changes! Juanita, Pearl's Girl or Dirty Epic would be great!

Enjoying it more than the Forbidden Fruit set in Dublin a few weeks back! Pain in the hoop trying to get it to stream on the BBC website earlier. Was using Hola VPN but couldn;t get it to play.

I enjoyed that a lot more than I thought I would after reading all the gig reviews from the last few months... have they listed to comments on here and improved the set? I think I will get tickets for Ali Pali now! Am intrigued to see what they have planned that is so special! Jumbo into Low Burn worked well and I loved the new bit in Rez just before Cowgirl kicked in, it was great to see a new twist on an old classic! I watched it with the tv on quiet as everyone else in my house is asleep so I can't wait to listen to it on full blast on my headphones!

Nice to see they play hits liek Scribble for outdoors yet never indoors. (Also, where's Daz?)

Full set can be streamed for the next 4 weeks from here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p03y1k4d
This is just the UW set, not the TV broadcast which also included Muse.

nah. it pretty much identical to every other show this tour, with the addition of Scribble thrown in and others dropped.

This is a common comment I'm seeing from some longstanding fans who are non-dirties. Which is that the sets are always 95% identical. Even when they have, at their fingertips, "Scribble", "Pearls Girl", "Dark+Long", "Skyscraper", "Always Loved A Film", "Spikee" they don't vary the setlist one jot between shows. It must get boring playing the same 12 songs in the same order every. damn. gig. Surely?

We turned on the Glasto coverage waiting for the next Euro games and I swear Jeff Lynne has made better use of his backing screens than UW has lately. (Totally having an AM Gold flashback to my youth here. Thanks dad).

Checked out some of the Underworld photos online and they were definitely animated! Will watch the video later tonight, was too drunk Friday and forgot to turn it on! :/

So sweet. I was hoping someone would post it here or on the tracker for those who have not access to the iplayer outside UK. But not that quick and in HD... Yannick, you're a prince!

Subsidiary question: do we happen to have a good recording of the "Dirty Club" track from this tour? There are some videos on YT but I'm looking for a decent audio for this gem. If any info please let me know :)

Has anyone ripped the audio from this?
I could do it, but it will be a pain in the arse - so if someone else has already done it a link would be great.... :-)

I have to confess not reading all the posts re Glasto, but it appears that Rick is using a completely new desk. Can anyone describe the new set-up?

What about letting the man do it himself? :)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODpLZ_wjfv8&feature=youtu.be

But as Jetpig pointed out in another thread:
That said it's REALLY odd to me how Rick was talking about the freedom his new desk gives him and how the show /had/ become a scripted thing of him just controlling lights (barking/post-barking and pre-dubno?) and yet there's not a whole lot of actual use of the live format. My understanding is that there was some fumbling at coachella weekend 2, showing that it's all still being done live, but what's the point if there's no major changes from show to show?

So Underworld are not on this CD - here is the tracklist:

1 Coldplay – Birds
2 Foals – What Went Down
3 The Last Shadow Puppets – The Dream Synopsis
4 Jeff Lynne’s ELO – Showdown
5 Chvrches – Bury It
6 New Order – Bizarre Love Triangle
7 Years & Years – Eyes Shut
8 Jess Glynne – Right Here
9 Muse – Starlight
10 Wolf Alice – Giant Peach
11 Sigur Rós – Sæglópur
12 John Grant – Grey Tickles, Black Pressure
13 Richard Hawley – Tonight The Streets Are Ours
14 Laura Mvula – People
15 Madness – My Girl
16 Baaba Maal – Fulani Rock

The New Order set was pretty cool - and the current version of BLT is nice.
