Just got an email from I Love Techno :-) I can't remember if they played the current set/show there yet?
UNDERWORLD is without doubt one of the best live dance music acts ever. This year the band celebrates the 20th anniversary of their legendary album, “dubnobasswithmyheadman”, an absolute classic in the history of dance music. Karl Hyde, Rick Smith and Darren Price celebrate its anniversary with an exclusive show at I Love Techno, their only one on Belgian soil this year.

They played there last in 2010, so that'd be the Barking tour along with the Maida Vale session and Ibiza and all those. I would be surprised if they played a new set. Let's hope that happens!

Yes, I'd be surprised if the show is even related with the dubnobass anniversary at all...

Here's to hoping!
I mean I understand playing to the crowd, but there's a TON of tracks that could be adopted and adjusted to fit the current trends. Kittens, da3d, Rowla, cherry pie all come to mind as lending themselves to the current sound, not to mention now neglected classics like Juanita and JUMBO of all things. Hell, moaner has been relegated to the occasional encore currently.

I saw them there the last time they played at I Love Techno and am definitely going back there this year! I doubt they'd play many newer tracks though as they wouldn't really fit with the theme...

I dunno, they've been playing the same setlist for almost 2 years now, though this IS after the DubNo show and they are hyping it around dubno so we'll see.

Havent bought a ticket yet.... Might do tho. If i do this, it will be potentially seeing Underworld 6 times in 8 months. Back to the old habits then.

i wouldnt expect too much DUBNOBASS material at ILT...it'll be the ravey show of the last few years with maybe an odd change of tune imo.
tempo up,karl running around, short set,on and off before you know it compared to the RFH.

I dunno, this will be interesting. I WOULD be surprised if they did dubno in full for this, but I wouldn't be surprised if they draw from it heavily for this set. I don't think we'll get the old set back (too bad there was never a good full recording of it, but it was time for it to go). Hopefully spikee shows up, maybe some of the other heavy classics will turn back up, too (kittens I'm looking at you).

I just glanced at the times lots to see when they are playing and saw rodhad Daniel avery and gessafelstein all playing around the same time. Why do I have to live on the opposite side of the globe?

According to Begian newspaper - of which I'm no subscriber, but here, subtitle and intro say it clearly: http://www.demorgen.be/muziek/-wij-zijn-underworld-wij-doen-wat-we-willen-a2110061/ - UW will play full Dubno-set. Maybe more; could be explained in the rest of the article.
I was surprised that they are going for it at ILT.
Also, the main title presenst them saying: "we are UW, and we do what we want"; really, that must have been a tongue in the cheek comment, or sort of. It doesn't seem to fit their personalities as a full stop remark, but anyway, the mood seems to be "let's go Dubno". Enjoy!:)

Taken as a full statement of all around, it seems pretentious and full of bravado and unlike them, but as it pertains to their music and what they play, it's absolutely them. Except for Born Slippy, they always play Born Slippy.

I have added this to the Gigography:

- Cowgirl only? I can't find evidence of Cow/Rez
- Most Ospitible was the intro.
- Are we sure about Jumbo? Scribble instead?

Yeah, it looks like they're still playing the album version.
