15 second tv commercial (!) aired just now on Saturday Night Live!

http://youtu.be/qcDadaQjbvY

Crazy thing about the internet is that people have ALREADY made full-length homebrew remixes of this 15 second snippet of a track:

Impossibly stoked. I can already tell they squeezed the maximum potential from all those collaborations they did.

Very summer of 69 vibe

I hope so. Barking was definitely less than it could have been.

Internets all abuzz from the newest info. New album is titled 'Random Access Memories'. Comes out May 21st. 13 tracks long. And from what people have discovered here http://www.mixmag.net/words/news/new-daft-punk-album-officially-registers-with-sony, it looks to be 74 minutes long.

Daft Punk created this website: http://randomaccessmemories.com/ New soundclip when you open it up. Love it already.

Another new commercial aired during Saturday Night Live last night. This time a 60 second spot.

'Get Lucky' with Pharrell on the vocals and Nile Rogers on the guitar

The same ad apparently aired at Coachella Friday Night.

It's SUPER groovy, but i'm already dreading how overplayed it's gonna get. Also I feel like there wasn't much beyond the 15 second teaser clip we got anyhow.

Big smile every time I've listened to it thus far. Totally poppy and perfect for summer.

i quite liked it. has the usual filler tracks that I've grown accustomed to with each release but overall good.

should be noted that I'm not a huge DP fan. I cant listen to them in long doses without just getting sick of their style. in short doses tho, i think they are brilliant, and masters of their craft.

I think I'm just an old person now. Agree pretty much with potatoB. I just can't do the whole dance curcuit thing anymore & I tend to get all bitchy there because I feel I'm the chaperone(sp) for a school dance or something.

Sounds like daft punk, but doesn't feel like it. Missing the soul or something like that. When I hear it, it has the pieces, but it just doesn't add up to that whole.

This is an oral history of Daft Punk's first show in North America in 1996, a pretty interesting read:
