Shoot... I thought this was an official announcement. Another radio show from the boys would give me a lot more confidence in them.

Rick, Karl, team Underworld, please- let's do this!

So many excellent radio shows in recent memory, though not too recent. I gratefully recall several Christmastime broadcasts with mysterious tracklists, UW rarities/demos, and an after-hours vibe to the airwaves. Of course, i was listening in from New York, early afternoon in New York, on a shaky internet stream, but i loved those shows, still enjoy the nostalgia of hearing the rarities and band favorites recorded and distributed by other fans.

Please, Underworld - let's end this year with some magic, some promise for what comes next!

+1 (non-Google)

I like the new stuff in it, the spanner in the works of a live radio show, the funny little misunderstandings, the accompanying chatting, the cryptic answerse, the food...

A Christmas 2011 broadcast would be awesome.

since xmas (and new year) will be during a weekend, there won't be any chance of partying hard :(

so a webcast will be the solution to all our problems :D! hydey, ricky and pricey's set as "background" music for gift opening. awesome!

As much as I'd like some new sounds already ready for Christmas, I actually hope that they keep tinkering with their new music for a good while so that the tracks are of super great quality and depth.

Unless its the other way around, where they actually do want us to hear the works in progress and provide feedback to shape the tracks into better quality material. ;)

Thread title teases annoyingly. The 2008 Christmas radio show with the Depeche Mode remix at the beginning going into Are You Rockstar? still haunts me to this day and is likely to for the rest of my life.

Another show would be truly immense.

i have pulled out a few of the old radio shows and have enjoyed the nostalgic warm of relistening. So many memories...the feeling that UW could be debuting new tracks (as they often did), or playing their recent favorites (cueing me in to new artists), or just that "end of the year"/holiday season warmth where anything's possible late at night.

Here's hoping for a fine end to 2011, promise for 2012...

Possible hint from today's UWlive (23rd Nov)

We’ve got more new music arriving in the post daily to link you to - new artists from some of our favourite labels. Bare with us & we’ll connect you when we get back from the streets.

Underworld will announce plans for 2012 in the run up to Christmas.Wouldn't this fit rather nicely into a three-hour pre-Christmas special on Radio Romford? *hint hint*

On Friday 30th December, Underworld will be providing a 30min mix to Tom Ravenscroft's show on BBC 6Music Radio. Tom's show is on from 9pm-12am every Friday and for his New Year show has got a special mix from Underworld!

He made this announcement on this weeks show and you can hear this announcement at the 2h03m mark in this weeks show which is available to listen until midnight on Friday 17th December (its always a great show by the way. If you dont know, Tom Ravenscroft is the son of the late and much missed John Peel).

Links to the show are here (Windows Media Audio stream):

I know we are not getting an Underworld Radio Show this year, but this is the next best thing so tune in and enjoy. I dont think we'll be hearing much from the boys for quite a while...

They should be with their family on Christmas and not "working" for us.;) Plus now we know they gotta save all of their best stuff for the Olympics (unless they plan to drop a new LP around that time to cash in on all of the Olympi-hype....which would be a smart move:cool:)

But a small Kwanzaa radio set will be better than nothing. :p

One day to go: The show details are here http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b018hd2v

Tom looks back over 2011 and presents his favourite tunes from the year. He'll have guest mixes from Clark, Paul White, White Hills and Dominik Eulberg, while an exclusive new 30 minute mix from Underworld takes us into New Year's Eve.

The show will be available to listen to for 7 days after the show finishes.

And as for is "thats it?", its better than a slap in the face. Underworld are going to be very busy before the Olympics and material from them is going to be few and far between, so enjoy it while you can.

Thanks for the link. The UW part starts at around the 2:28:00 mark (but the stuff right before it sounds more like UW themselves playing a track or two....I could be wrong. If not, who made those tracks from the 2:08:00 mark up to the UW part - it sounded good. :)

The mix is now online at the BBC 6music site. The full title is the Underworld vs Misterons "Burning with Ecstasy" mix, and has a 90s-vibe.

themongoose: The 30min mix directly before the UW mix was Dominik Eulberg.
