Very sad news. Mick Karn of Japan, one of my very favorite bands, died from cancer today.

Thank you, Mick, for your contribution to my formative years and, consequently, the direction of my life since then. You will be missed.

i really like japan.
first few releases were a bit dodgy but "quiet life" was ace and i still play it today.
"tin drum" was the sound of the early 80's for me.
