Who is coming? I'm switching allegiances from London to Manchester this time so I can cadge a bed off my sister in Old Trafford, and visit my parents in their new retirement apartment in Knutsford, having moved from the New Forest.

Was there at the front, right in front of Silver Columns and Karl's Space. Despite the 'fixed' setlist, the best gig I've seen... but then I've never hit a 'high improv' show. Had a great time.
WASAFUCKINBLAST! haven't danced so much for ages, real thumpin stuff. I loved every minute of it.:D

Had a gr8 time. Really enjoyed Silver Columns - a sort-of high octane Hot Chip with Jimmy Somerville vocals. Underworld excellent as ever. I loved Karl's "Now is the Winter of our discontent" as he walked on stage, doubtless inspired by the student setting. Not really any between songs improvs, which I missed to be honest. Tracks played (not in correct order) Unreleased track (heard on the radio, I think, a short time ago), Always Loved a Film, Scribble, Bird 1, "Under a full moon" (can't remember the title), Diamond Jigsaw, Dark Train, 2 Months Off, Rez/EE, King of Snake, Born Slippy, Dirty Epic, Moaner. High point for me was Diamond Jigsaw with Karl rocking out on his famous typographical guitar!
