hmm... I thought that this had been discussed before... maybe not?
I went into Tower the other day, and they had this "Tartan Films Sampler" and amongst the previews, were a couple of scenes from the movie. Later the next day, I went out to Best Buy for a dvd-binge (they're sooo expensive around here, so I have to wait a while and go there -which is a bit of a trip- b/c they're like $10/$15 cheaper there, than like Tower, Borders, etc)
It was reasonably cheap, and I bought it, expecting something like a cool Tarantino-esque action film, but in an Asian slant
...boy does this movie move beyond that!
It was a great movie! I mean - sure elements of it were def based on older stories (like Count of Monte Cristo & Greek Trajedies... don't want to give away much) but it was all done in such a unique way, that I loved it!
although, there were a few weak points at the beginning, where they introduced some of the characters... like it didn't make sense, until you saw the ending - of course... but...
