I have just finished reading "Kitchen Confidential" by Anthony Bourdain and loved it. I read "A Cooks Tour" last year and need more. I prefer biographical pieces (Augusten Borroughs, Jon Krakauer). Can anyone recommend something??

Holy crap! Coincidence! Have you been following the Doug Psaltis drama on eGullet? Get over there! There's a fourteen page thread with Bourdain and others weighing in on whether or not Doug was hiding something in his book "Seasoning of a Chef." Check it out....

Actually Chez Pim has a good introduction.

Start with this: http://chezpim.typepad.com/blogs/2005/09/the_case_of_a_s.html

That link will lead you to the eGullet thread.

Exactly. It's not so much that it's an interesting story in and of itself, but the politics of what is happening captivating. Interesting glimpse inside a world that ... it's not quite clear is being discussed on a public forum.

it's bourdain's attempt at painting chefs as pirates, outlaws, and romantic villains.
