This is my faviorite CD from Sigur Ros, it is amazing!

I own: Agaeteis Byurjum (im pretty sure i spelt this wrong)
()
and Takk

Takk is, the songs are shorter, and so much happier and uplifiting though. I like the tracks shorter, because there so much more, "content" i guess. Im use to them having really long drawn out songs, so when i thought the song was over, it was actually on track 4 when i started it at 1.

BUY THIS CD!!!! BUY IT, IT IS BEAUTIFUL!!!

[just like the woman i love]

(sorry, im on loritabs at the moment)

Yeah, "Takk" is a beautiful record...not as fresh as it all sounded with "Aegetis Byrjun", but still unmistakeably Sigur Ros, still emotive. For me, "Gong" and "milano" are standouts...so much better than the already-amazing live versions the boys've test driven for a few years.

I saw Sigur Ros with Amina last Saturday at this amazing old art deco theater. Being my first time seeing the band, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I wasn't ready for what I heard and saw. It took me some time to really soak it in. The new songs sounded amazing, and Viðrar Vel Til Loftárása was simply heavenly. There was about a 30 second pause in this song, and there wasn't a single sound in the audience.

Anyhow, not to write a concert review, I am certainly enjoying Takk more that their other releases. I think Andvari is probably the standout track for me. Although my three year old daughter has chosed Sæglópur as her favorite.. I think it has to do with the glockenspiel in the beginning, she likes that sound. :p
