Does anyone else continually put together a mix of tracks that bring back vivid memories?
I keep a winamp playlist especially for this. Any time I'm listening to my collection of music and a track recalls a very vivid memory of emotion, time, or place etc etc, I move it into this "memory mix" playlist and put it in chronological order. I've been doing it for the last four years and now it's starting to serve as a scrapbook of my college life. It's a great way to relive the past events to figure out where you've been and how you've gotten where you are.
Also has anyone found a particular type of music that is able to bring back memories more than others?
The Campfire Headphase is already doing this to me, and I've only had it for like three weeks. Come to think of it there is a lot of Boards of Canada in my mix...
