I am pretty excited for the new albumn. Love all their old stuff. Demon days is one of my top albumns...

Stylo itself is pretty rad too, a bit of a grower, tiny bit repetitive, but GREAT when turned up loud.

After a few listens thru Plastic Beach, I'm quite underwhelmed and a bit bored of the cheesey rap hybrid thing. Snoop Dogg? Really? ugh.

That said, I LOVE the Lou Reed track (forget the name), On Melancholy Hill, and Sweepstakes. Those three tracks make the entire album worth it for me.

(I listened on the NPR site.)

i'd like to think the album starts at stylo (my fave gorillaz single by a mile or ten) so that even with its missteps it clunks along with a weird yet appealling funk without snoop dogg embarrassing everything.

one of those albums to give a whirl for when yr usual rotation isnt working out.
